I love reading about history and listening to stories, but more than anything I enjoy looking at the pictures that tell those stories. I like going through the 20-some photo albums my parents have and imagining how life was like, what the story was behind the photos, and how I feel like when I see those photos. All my life I've been in love with the act of documentation; from taking photos to writing in journals. It's much more interesting to tell stories using visuals so I approach photography from a storytelling style.
I live in Green Bay with my husband and our two kids. I have a degree in Marketing & Graphic Communications. I began shooting with a DSLR in 2010. Before that, I've photographed with film cameras. I like to travel every chance I get - especially road-trips! I love sunflowers, raspberry sundaes from Culvers, and sunny-breezy Summer days. In my down-time, I enjoy designing websites, social networking, and creating collages of stuff I tear out of magazines. |
